Professor Hoot sits on a branch with a big clock and a lot of patience. Tickhollow teaches reading an analog clock in five small steps, from o'clock to any single minute, with time written in words ("quarter to 4") and in digital form ("07:45").

Nothing is timed. A wrong answer is never punished: the owl shows the right time and moves the hands there, and you carry on. Stars reward few slips, so a stage can be replayed for three stars.

  • Five stages: o'clock, half past, quarters, five-minute steps and single minutes, 10 questions each
  • Three kinds of question: read the clock, set the clock, match a digital time to a clock face
  • Hands that behave like a real clock: turning the minute hand past 12 moves the hour hand
  • Helpful faces: early stages shade the "past" and "to" halves; later stages label the minutes
  • Challenge mode: three hearts, mixed clocks that get harder every four right answers
  • Keyboard or touch: arrows and Enter, or tap and drag; stars and the best challenge are saved
