Starquill
Starquill is a gentle way to learn the constellations. The sky is built from the real positions and brightness of over 200 stars and projected the way you see it, so the shapes you learn are the shapes you will find outside.
Each question pans the sky to a new region: link the stars of a named constellation, name a highlighted figure, or find a bright star from a clue. After every answer you get a short fact about what you just found.
- 25 constellations: Orion, Ursa Major and Minor, Cassiopeia, Cygnus, Lyra, Aquila, Leo, Scorpius, Taurus, Gemini, Canis Major, Boötes, Virgo, Pegasus, Andromeda, Perseus, Auriga, Hercules, Corona Borealis, Sagittarius, Crux, Cepheus, Corvus and Delphinus
- Three question types: connect the stars, name the figure, find the star
- 10 stages: regions of the sky one at a time, with landmarks that fade as you improve
- Challenge mode: questions from the whole sky until you lose three lives
- Facts after every answer, written to be accurate
- Keyboard, mouse or touch for every question
Code and text written with AI assistance; checked by PN Scripts with automated tests. Every shape is drawn and every sound synthesised by code; there are no AI-generated image or audio files.
