Rodinka

Rodinka ("little homeland") is a quiz about the map of Bulgaria. Every city sits where its real latitude and longitude put it on a simplified outline of the country, with the Danube in the north, the Black Sea in the east and the main rivers and mountains drawn in.

The whole interface switches between English and Bulgarian at any time, so it works for visitors learning about Bulgaria and for Bulgarian pupils alike.

• 27 province centres: every city that leads one of Bulgaria's 28 provinces (Sofia leads two), placed from real coordinates
• Rivers and mountains: the Danube, Iskar, Maritsa, Struma, Mesta, Yantra, Tundzha, Arda and Kamchiya; Stara Planina, Rila, Pirin, the Rhodopes, Vitosha, Strandzha and Sredna Gora
• North or east?: compare two cities on the unlabelled map; the answer shows both coordinates
• Learn mode: find all 27 cities with no penalty; names appear as you go
• Quiz: 10 mixed questions and up to three stars
• Challenge: 90 seconds, three lives, streak bonuses and a saved best score
• A short fact after every answer: the highest peaks, where the rivers flow, what each city is known for
