Pixmarrow
Pixmarrow is a classic jump-and-run in real low resolution: the whole game is drawn at 320 by 180 pixels and scaled up with sharp pixels. You play a small marrow sprout with a leaf on its head, running through meadows, crystal caves and a keep at sunset.
The controls are tuned to forgive: you can still jump a few frames after running off a ledge, and a jump pressed just before landing is remembered.
- Twelve levels in three worlds: each new level brings one new idea, from springs and thin platforms to lifts, spikes and bats
- Three bosses: the Grub King marches and hops, the Crystal Bat drops shards and swoops, the Storm Crow throws feathers from its perches
- 36 hidden gems: three per level, behind cracked fake walls, on high ledges and in side rooms; found gems are remembered
- Checkpoints and lives: five lives, a flag halfway through each level, one more life every 50 coins
- Progress: beating a boss unlocks the next world as your new starting point
- Real pixel art: every sprite and tile is built from pixel arrays in code, with a 3 by 5 pixel font
