Ninewold is a calm Sudoku on cream paper over a heather moor. Each day there is one new puzzle, built from the date, so everyone plays the same grid: easy on Monday and Tuesday, medium mid-week, hard on Saturday and Sunday. Finish it and copy a short result to share, with your time and a 3x3 emoji map that shows in which boxes you slipped.

Not ready for the daily? Climb the ladder: twelve fixed puzzles from easy to hard, with a guided first move.

  • One puzzle a day: numbered, seeded from the date, with a daily streak
  • Fair puzzles: exactly one solution each, and solvable by logic alone (singles, pointing and pairs), never by guessing
  • Pencil notes that clear themselves when you place a number
  • Three chances: a wrong number counts as a mistake; the third ends the puzzle
  • Shareable result: time, mistakes, hints and an emoji map, copied with one button
  • Feels good: finished rows, columns and boxes ripple with light and a chord, and a solved board lights up box by box
