Echoburrow
Echoburrow is a call-and-response rhythm game. A burrow creature drums a short pattern; when the beat grid rolls over to the answer half, play the same pattern back on the same drums at the same time.
Patterns get longer, faster and more syncopated. Too many mistakes cost a heart, and three hearts are all you have.
- Four pitched drums: every burrow drum has its own note, so patterns become little melodies.
- Timing judged on the beat: Perfect, Good or Off beat, with a combo multiplier.
- 14 stages: from 3-note quarter-note calls at 84 BPM to 12-note syncopated sixteenths at 140 BPM.
- Visual beat: a metronome tick, a moon that pulses on every beat and a timeline of call and answer.
- Guides at first: early stages show ghost notes; later ones are pure memory.
- Keyboard or touch: D F J K, the arrow keys or tapping the drums.
Code and text written with AI assistance; checked by PN Scripts with automated tests. Every shape is drawn and every sound synthesised by code; there are no AI-generated image or audio files.
