A cryptogram puzzle: crack substitution ciphers hiding 157 proverbs and quotes, with pencil marks, a letter-count panel, clash warnings and a daily cryptogram with a streak. Free, no ads, no tracking; keyboard or touch.

Every sentence in Cipherleaf has been written in a secret alphabet: each real letter is swapped for another one, the same swap everywhere in the sentence. Work out which symbol stands for which letter and the proverb or quote reads itself back to you.

Start with the short words and the apostrophes, check the letter-count panel for the commonest symbols, and keep guesses as pencil notes until they fit. A letter used for two symbols turns red, and a correct sentence ripples green in a fall of leaves.

Controls

• Type a letter: assign it to the highlighted symbol (all its copies change at once)
• Arrow keys or a tap: pick another symbol; tap a row in the letter-count panel to jump to that symbol
• Shift+letter or Tab (pencil mode): add or remove a small pencil note
• Backspace / Delete / Space: erase, ? or /: reveal the right letter (time penalty)
• On-screen keyboard and buttons for touch
